Terms of service
Last updated: 29 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ("we"), which runs (registered in England and Wales, company number 17534029, registered office 13 Yew Tree Close, Welling, London DA16 3BY). By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: .
1. The service
uses artificial intelligence to help teachers create classroom resources. We may improve, change or add features over time.
2. Your account
Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. Accounts are for adults (18 and over) who work in education. One account is for one person. Sharing an account between colleagues isn't allowed. Contact us about school licences instead.
Pupils. Pupils can use our free learning resources without logging in (for example the free programming tools, and Revision Forge and AI Labs with a code from their teacher). Signing in with a school login needs authorisation: a pupil can sign in with their school Google or Microsoft account only if their school has authorised pupil sign-in on a whole-school licence. We may block pupil logins and pupil accounts unless the school has authorised them in this way. Pupils never get a account of their own.
Teacher planning tools. The teacher planning resources (the lesson and resource builders, planning packs, schemes of work, curriculum plans and maps, home learning plans and the KS3 Computing planner) are only for individual teachers and other adults in education with their own account, or staff on a whole-school subscription. Pupils and students aren't allowed to access them, including pupils using school pupil sign-in.
3. Check everything before you use it
AI-generated content can contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing every resource for accuracy, suitability and safeguarding before using it with pupils. Resources don't replace your professional judgement.
4. Acceptable use
Don't enter pupils' personal data (see our privacy policy). Don't use the service to create anything unlawful, harmful or abusive, try to break or overload it, or resell access to it.
5. Your content
You own what you put in and the resources you create, and you can use them in your teaching, including sharing or selling resources you've reviewed and edited. You give us permission to store and process your content only to provide the service.
6. Plans, payment and cancelling
- The Free plan includes a limited number of resources each month. Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from Manage billing in the app, or with just your email address at our billing portal. You keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you're not happy, email us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and it will apply from your next renewal.
- Card payments for individual plans are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- AI Labs class sets are a one-off payment for 12 months and don't renew automatically (see section 7).
- School licences are paid by invoice. Your school's order, our invoice and our Data Processing Agreement also apply to them.
- We aren't VAT-registered at the moment, so no VAT is added to our prices.Individual plan prices include VAT. School licence prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added to your invoice.
7. AI Labs
AI Labs lets a teacher run a supervised lesson in which pupils train a simple machine learning model in their web browser. Pupils use it only through a class code from their teacher, with no login:
- Pupils don't have accounts and give no name or email: each gets a random nickname for that session. The teacher must supervise the lesson and tell pupils not to type real names or personal details, or photograph people.
- Pupils' pictures, drawings and sentences stay on their device. We keep only the class code, nicknames, how far each pupil has got, their quiz score and challenge medal, and delete them when the session ends.
- Schools: AI Labs is included with a school licence, with 90 pupil licences unless agreed otherwise. It stays off until a school admin switches it on and accepts the AI Labs terms (Schedule 4 of our Data Processing Agreement). If your school doesn't switch it on, AI Labs isn't available to it and those terms and the AI Labs safeguarding responsibilities don't apply to it.
- Individual teachers buy class sets: each lets 30 pupils use AI Labs at the same time, for 12 months from purchase, with as many classes as you like, one after another. They are a one-off payment that doesn't renew. If you haven't used them, email us within 14 days for a full refund.
- A pupil licence is a place for one pupil at a time in a live session, not a named pupil. If all your places are in use, more pupils can't join until a session ends.
7a. Revision Forge and Revision Forge Plus
- Revision Forge is free for GCSE Computer Science, for pupils and teachers. Other subjects come with Revision Forge Plus; pupils can try a few topics in each subject for free.
- Teachers can buy Plus for 12 months as a one-off payment that doesn't renew. If you haven't used it, email us within 14 days for a full refund. Schools can add Plus to their licence for an agreed yearly price, invoiced with the licence.
- With Plus you can make class tokens, one for each pupil, up to your plan's limit (150 for a teacher; 600 for a school unless agreed otherwise). You must not put pupils' names or other personal details in class labels. If you add a class list, it stays on your computer; you're responsible for keeping your downloaded file safe under your school's data protection policy.
- Practice tests. Teachers can set practice tests in live sessions. Pupils' answers are encrypted on their device so only the teacher's browser can open them, and the teacher's marking is kept in that browser. The teacher (and their school, as controller) is responsible for keeping marking files and downloads safe and deleting them when they're no longer needed. Collect handed-in answers within 24 hours of the session ending, after which they're deleted.
- AI suggestions when marking are optional, need the school's permission, and are only ever suggestions: the teacher decides every mark and must check any AI suggestion before it reaches a pupil. Practice test marks aren't predictions of exam grades.
- A level is included in a teacher's own Plus at no extra cost. Schools can add A level to their Plus for an agreed yearly price (from £79), invoiced with the licence. Pupils can try three topics in each A-level subject for free.
- Hints and marked model answers are for practice. Model answers show one way to do well, not the only way, and are shown only after a pupil has written and checked their own answer. Pupils must not hand in model answers, or work copied from them, as their own in coursework or any assessed work.
- Questions, lessons and mark schemes are written by Lessonsmith for practice. They aren't official exam board materials, and exam boards don't endorse them. Check them against your board's specification.
- Primary SATs and 11+ units are for teachers only (signed in): the first unit in each area is free and the rest come with Plus. They're written by Lessonsmith for practice, aren't official test materials, and aren't endorsed by the Standards and Testing Agency or any 11+ test provider. Pupil sheets you print are for use with your own pupils.
7b. The parent and carer guide
- The parent and carer guide is free general information, not professional, educational, medical or legal advice. Exam and admissions dates are approximate: always check with the school, exam board or local council.
- Any tutor or tuition centre we mention is a recommendation only. We aren't responsible for their services, safety or results. Parents and carers must make their own checks and decisions before using them.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Ending your account
You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, including any account that appears to belong to a pupil or someone under 18. Pupils signing in through pupil sign-in their school has authorised on a whole-school licence don't have accounts and aren't affected by this.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
